Season 2005-06					Ranking Lists
The English rankings are updated on a monthly basis. They are calculated based on the previous fifty-two weeks play in National and International competition. Ranking are calculated for each event separately and six lists are calculated. These are Ladies Singles, Mens Singles, Ladies Doubles, Mens Doubles, Mixed Doubles for Ladies and Mixed Doubles for Men. Points are awarded on the basis of the grading of the event played and the progression through that event. For players who have competed in 8 or fewer tournaments their ranking points are determined by dividing their total points earned by 8. If a player has played 9 or 10 tournaments their ranking points are determined by dividing their total points earned by the number of tournaments played and if they play 11 or more tournaments their ranking points are determined by dividing the total of their best 10 results by 10.
